My Story
Oh no, now what…”
This was the fist through that ran through my head back in 2005, when a fellow teacher said she had something that I had to try. Over the years I had bought Tupperware®, Avon®, Mary Kay™ and so many other things. Back then just like today, teachers were always looking to make a little extra money on the side. Being the friend that I am I listened to her tell me about this incredible new wick less candle that used a warmer … a warmer – seriously a “warmer”. I told her no that I just couldn’t buy anything right now and thought that was the end of it, but no. Every few days it was
“Sharon, you really need to try this….” Hey, this Scentsy smells sooo good!”
One day I had a reason to go to her classroom and I remember walking and thinking “Wow, it smells great in here?!” That’s when I saw it, a white porcelain warmer with what looked like a soup cup sitting on top. I remember asking her if this is what she has been going on about and she just smiled and said “YES”. She reached into a bag and pulled out another warmer in a box and handed me a brick of Rev’d Up Raspberry and told me to just take it home and give it a try.
I got home, plugged it in and put the wax brick in the top … and waited. The wax started to melt, the aroma began filling the room and I knew I was hooked.
That was 13 years ago.
I have bought warmers, bars, fresheners just for my own use and enjoyment. Now, just like then, as a teacher looking to make a little extra I have taken my love for the scent and become a consultant. I love the entire Scentsy line … I mean I love it.
With so many scents to choose from and a warmer for every occasion and season, I always have something that my friends, family and even strangers have to have. I admit, I liked the idea of a work-at-home job, but I am NOT the home party type, or am I? I guess we will find out and I can’t wait.
One other thing that I really love about being a part of Scentsy is the “Give more than you take” mantra. There are so many ways that I can make a change through Scentsy Charity efforts it from Service & Sacrifice to Autism Speaks and the March of Dimes. I can’t think of any other organization that helps make a home so inviting and can make such a difference in the lives of others.
I’m so excited for the opportunities that are open to me through Scentsy and I can’t wait to make you a part of my Scentsy story.
